About logic grid
A logic grid puzzle gives you a few clues and a grid. You cross out what the clues rule out and tick what has to be true, until only one answer is left. It's also called a zebra puzzle or an Einstein riddle. On Owlpuzzles the clues are about a few animals, where they were and what they had, and the answer shows who took the treat.
How to play logic grid puzzles
Each animal was in one place and had one thing, or arrived at one time, and no two share. The grid has a box for every pair, like the fox and the barn.
Cross out a box when a clue rules it out. Tick it when two things go together, and the rest of its row and column greys out. Every animal needs a tick in the top two blocks to finish.
One answer for every puzzle
The clues on Owlpuzzles are always enough to find the answer, so you never have to guess.
A new logic grid puzzle every day
Owlpuzzles has a new logic grid puzzle every day at midnight in your time zone, and it gets harder through the week. Early in the week the clues say where an animal was. Later ones compare arrival times or leave you two choices.
When one a day isn’t enough, there are 300+ logic grid levels from easy to hard, and unlimited logic grid puzzles for as many as you like.
Logic grid tips
Start with the sure clues
A clue that says where an animal was gives you a tick straight away. A tick crosses out the rest of its row and column, so it’s worth more than a cross.
Look for the last box
When a row or column has one box left, that box is a tick, even if no clue names it.
Use the bottom block
The bottom block links the other two. If the one with the kite was in the barn, an animal that wasn’t in the barn didn’t have the kite.
